Empowering Girls: Alejandra’s Journey with Project M:25

Alejandra grew up in Colombia, watching her family migrate in search of better opportunities to fight against poverty and inequality. Her mother worked tirelessly to provide for the family, and Alejandra promised herself that she would make a difference in the world. Despite not knowing how to fulfill her aspirations and dreams, she knew that God had opened paths for her to become the first person in her family to obtain a professional degree.

However, Alejandra was still afraid that her life would repeat the same pattern. She wanted to be part of an impact and make a difference, but didn’t know how. Life went on and she started attending Bible School (SEMISUD) and got connected to Project M:25, as part of ger supervised ministry program, and it was a place where she found both the opportunity to fulfill her calling and serve others in need. Last year she was invited to be a full-time part of the team that believed in her call, and helped her find and use her skills for service.

Project M:25 was a place where she could grow in an integral way, and learn important skills like discipline, perseverance, and teamwork. It was a platform where she could integrate her professional knowledge with practice, and perform reliable work in the service of others.

Through her experiences with Project M:25, Alejandra was able to affirm God’s purpose in her life. She felt safe, economically independent, and empowered to project her life.

The journey  with Project M:25 has inspired her to believe in herself, and to believe in the strength of God’s call. She aspired every day to grow and self-improve in favor of service to others. One of her life purposes is to accompany thousands of girls and adolescents, giving light to their paths and helping them find their light through their own history. Alejandra wants to help young women flourish from the potential that God has given them, by leading them to find faith, resilience, and the strength within themselves to be integral women with healthy self-esteem.

Now, Alejandra is pursuing a master’s program in Holistic Child Development with Lee University, while also serving full-time with Project M:25. She is able to apply everything she has learned to her work, and her experiences have helped her grow in ways she never imagined. Alejandra is grateful for the opportunities that Project M:25 has given her, and is excited to continue empowering girls and adolescents to transform their own stories.
