Precious Jewels
Our women’s empowerment group is growing and the women are hungrier than ever to study God’s Word. They are currently studying about God’s plan for marriage, including protecting against infidelity and help for healing after infidelity has occurred. Through this group, much healing has taken place and God has raised up local leaders to further reach the community.
Domestic violence is a daily reality as 6 out of every 10 Ecuadorean women are suffering or have suffered some sort of general violence. For us, this is unacceptable and not part of God’s plan and purpose for the lives of these “precious jewels.” We believe and proclaim that Jesus came that these women may “have life, and have it more abundantly” (John 10:10). Therefore, we are working to empower the women of our community in an effort to increase their self-esteem and help them develop healthy relationships.
